Wilson College to hold sessions for teacher intern program

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Wilson College will hold information sessions for those interested in its Teacher Intern Program, which allows anyone with a bachelor’s degree to become certified to teach at the elementary or secondary levels.

Unless otherwise noted, sessions will begin at 7 p.m. at the following locations:

• Wednesday, West York High School, Auditorium, West York, Pa.

• May 9, Carlisle High School, Fowler Technical Center, Carlisle, Pa.

• May 15, 5:30 p.m., Wilson College’s Hankey Center

• May 23, Gettysburg High School Auditorium, Gettysburg, Pa.

• May 30, Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC), Whitaker Hall, Room 214, Harrisburg, Pa.

The program is specifically designed to help men and women with bachelor’s degrees become certified to teach as quickly and inexpensively as possible.

Most classes are offered at night and students only take classes they need to become certified to teach in 45 states, including Pennsylvania and Maryland. Classes are available at Wilson and several satellite centers.
