Vending machines damaged

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Approximately $300 was stolen from three vending machines that were damaged in the Chambersburg area between Friday and Saturday morning, according to a news release from the  Pennsylvania State Police.

The vending machines were at 3506 Airport Road and 4349 Letterkenny Road, state police said. Approximately $100 was stolen from each of the three damaged vending machines, state police said.

The victims listed on the news release were Chambersburg Skydiving Center, Salem United Brethren Church, Pepsi and Coke. The skydiving center is at 3506 Airport Road and the church is at 4349 Letterkenny Road, according to the organizations’ websites.

Anyone with information about the incidents may call Pennsylvania State Police’s Chambersburg barrack at 717-264-5161.

The state police also had a report of a Pepsi vending machine being forced open and an unknown amount of cash being stolen from it earlier last week, according to another news release.

That incident occurred between 12:30 p.m. April 18 and 11:15 a.m. April 19 at Conocodell Golf Course at 112 Cold Spring Road in Fayetteville, Pa., east of Chambersburg, state police said.
