BOONSBORO — A Rogation Day celebration is at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 13, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 18313 Lappans Road, west of Boonsboro. The church recognizes the importance of the stewardship and care of the Earth. St. Mark's Episcopal Church observes the ancient Christian holy day called Rogation, a day set aside to pray and thank God for the earth. "Rogare" means to pray continually. The worship service for the day uses special prayers and music, and members are invited to bring seedlings for a plant swap. The public is welcome to attend.
