W.Va. Rotary Club inducts 3 members

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown recently inducted three new members, including:

• Elizabeth Granzow is retired from the Prince George’s County, Md., fire department, where she was a captain responsible for initiatives to help volunteer and career firefighters maintain their physical and mental health while facing the challenges of emergency service.

Currently, she is development director for Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle. She also runs a consulting business that assists nonprofits with grant-seeking and other resource-building essentials.

• John T. Griffith is a polygraph expert who has worked with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and has been an instructor at the Maryland Institute of Criminal Justice. A long-time area resident, he has served as president of the Historic Shepherdstown Commission and treasurer of the Shepherdstown Kiwanis Club. He has also served on the board of the Shepherdstown Men’s Club and as a member of the St. Agnes Church Knights of Columbus.

• Michelle Leifke is an energy conservation specialist. She currently is the lead residential solar energy consultant for Mountain View Solar, West Virginia’s largest solar photovoltaics installation company.
She also operates two businesses of her own: Leafkey Verified, a website that allows consumers in the region to find eco-professionals, and Leafkey Recruiting, an eco-friendly job search and placement service. 
The club’s membership now totals 60.
