Keep the Suns for future generations

To the editor:

I would like to offer a few words of support for the Hagerstown Suns. I am a native of Washington County and have attended games since 1981. Suns baseball provides wholesome entertainment and an atmosphere which brings the community together.

Kids and adults alike come together to enjoy baseball and socialize with friends. I would like to see future generations have the same opportunity that I have had in watching professional baseball and meeting some wonderful people. It is also great to watch the players develop and see some make it to the major leagues.

I encourage the political entities and the Suns management to come together with the common goal of keeping the Suns in Hagerstown. I hope to see you at the ballpark for many years to come.

Row officers support Rich Alloway

To the editor:

As elected row officers of Franklin County, it is our distinct pleasure to endorse Sen. Rich Alloway in his re-election bid as state senator for the 33rd District.

We are honored to have the opportunity to support an individual who has an understanding of the challenges that are presented in county government.

We respect Sen. Alloway’s efforts to support and work with elected officials from all levels; township, county, state and federal. These efforts have resulted in a better job climate in the county and an improved local economy. We thank him for helping to make our community a better place to live and work.
