Cash found at Pa. landfill, turned over to police
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. —Nearly $5,000 in cash was found earlier this month at the IESI Blue Ridge Landfill in Greene Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The incident was reported on the afternoon of April 5, when someone said they found $100 bills totaling $4,800 at the landfill at 3747 White Church Road, according to a police news release.
Troopers said the money was turned over to state police.

Man, teens charged with stealing guns, knives
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A Shippensburg, Pa., man and two juveniles have been charged with stealing several firearms, knives and other items from two homes on Duffield Road in Guilford Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Brandon Taylor, age not provided, and two juveniles, ages 15 and 17, both of Fayetteville, Pa., were charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property, according to a police news release.
Troopers said the burglary occurred March 15 or 16, when firearms, axes, chainsaws and knives were stolen from homes at 6347 and 6441 Duffield Road.
