SMITHSBURG — Brad Spickler had two hits, including a home run, for Smithsburg in a 9-6 loss to Middletown on Tuesday.
Kyle Dinterman and Dylan Durning each had two hits and an RBI, and Garrett Spinks also had two hits for the Leopards (1-11).

HANCOCK, Md. — Vinny Foreman hurled a two-hitter with eight strikeouts to lead Hancock past Broadfording Christian Academy in the opener of a doubleheader sweep.
In the first game, Nate Souders had an RBI single.
In the nightcap, Souders pitched a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts and Foreman and Dylan Finney had three hits each for the Panthers (7-3).

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W. Va. — Jefferson evened the season series with Musselman behind a 13-hit attack in six innings.
Dennis Jackson, Cory Mangold and Fraser Brown had three hits each and Anthony DiMario had two hits as the Cougars’ top four batters had 11 hits for Jefferson (14-6). Brown hit two doubles and a triple.
Jackson drove in four runs, Brown drove in three and scored three, and Mangold scored four runs.
Sean Spotts pitched 4 2/3 innings of four-hit ball, allowing a two-run homer by Tylor Baker.
Musselman, which is ranked No. 1 in West Virginia Class AAA, fell to 16-4.

COLONIAL PARK, Pa. — Cole Warrenfeltz hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning to plate John Barr with the game-winning run as Waynesboro edged CD East.
Justin Freeman had two hits for the Indians (5-5).

BAKER, W.Va. — Musselman scored three runs in the 12th inning to win a marathon game against East Hardy on Monday night.
Maverick Keller had three hits and Chris Schleuss and Jacob Whitmore each had two hits for the Applemen. Whitmore drove in three runs. Evan Woolum struck out 11 and Darrin Zombro fanned seven. Woolum also walked four times at the plate.

East Hardy 9, Berkeley Springs 2
BAKER, W.Va. — East Hardy turned a close game into a rout with six runs in the fourth inning to defeat the Indians.
Natalie Redick had two hits and drove in a run for Berkeley Springs (5-14).
