Police briefs - April 18

The following incidents were reported recently by Franklin County (Pa.) Emergency Services:

 At 11:56 p.m., a commercial fire alarm was reported in the 12700 block of Buchanan Trail East in Washington Township.

 At 8:14 p.m., a residential fire alarm was reported in the 1000 block of Heritage Avenue in Southampton Township.

 At 1:08 a.m., a traffic accident was reported in the 200 block of Sollenberger Road in Hamilton Township.

Police seek help locating missing man

Police are searching for a 65-year-old man who went missing in Hagerstown about 1 p.m. Tuesday, Maryland State Police said.

Gerald “Butch” Stine, who is about 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs 195 pounds, was last seen riding a bluish-green scooter with a black basket on the front in the area of Oak Ridge Drive and Halfway Boulevard, police said.

Stine was wearing a dark blue shirt and blue jeans. He has several medical issues, police said.

Anyone who sees Stine is asked to call 911 or state police at 301-739-2102.
