SCOTLAND, Pa. — A 10-year-old boy was flown to Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center after he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon at 2048 Black Gap Road in Greene Township, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.
The boy was taken to Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital before he was flown out for critical injuries, troopers said.
Elaine Sneeringer, 78, no address given, was driving north on Black Gap Road when the boy began to cross the street, police said. The boy was struck by the right front of Sneeringer’s 2003 Honda Accord, causing minor damage, troopers said.
Sneeringer told troopers she did not see the boy until he “ran into the side of her vehicle,” troopers said in the release.
No charges have been filed.
