Mildred Helen “Hun” Murphy, 86, of Falling Waters, W.Va., passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Canterbury Nursing Home in Shepherdstown, W.Va.
She was born June 1, 1925, in Johnstown, Pa., to the late Lawrence and Nettie Shank Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack McNalley Murphy, in 1983.
She was employed by Always Ron’s restaurant, Hagerstown, Md., until retiring in 2007.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include daughter, Deborah M. Ripka of Falling Waters; son, Raymond E. “Sonny” Stockslager of Chambersburg, Pa.; son, David L. Stockslager of Fayetteville, Pa.; son, Paul E. “Tab” Ripka Jr. of Falling Waters; daughter, Dawn M. Conant of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, George M. Moore of Bellefonte, Pa.; grandsons, Chris French, Kyle Ripka, Dustin Ripka, Aaron Ripka, Bobby Shackelford, Doug Stockslager, Dustin Stockslager, Toby Stockslager and Mike Aselin; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Marian Kuszmaul, Emma Guyer and Lean Wagner; and one brother, Lawrence Moore Jr.
The family will receive friends at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md., on Thursday, April 19, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, on Friday, April 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bob Martin officiating. Interment will be in Harmony Cemetery, Falling Waters.
