$500 in quarters stolen from change machine

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police said they were looking for the person or people who used a cutting torch to steal about $500 worth of quarters from a bill-changing machine in Antrim Township.

The incident happened at an unknown time early last week, when the coins were stolen from the Victory Lane Car Wash at 11011 John Wayne Drive, according to a state police news release.

Troopers said a cutting torch was used to open the machine.


Kerosene stolen from tank in Hamilton Township

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A woman reported that someone stole kerosene from a tank behind her home on North Franklin Street in Hamilton Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The incident occurred April 6 or 7 at 649 N. Franklin St., according to a state police news release.

Troopers said the thief or thieves stole about half of the kerosene that was in the tank.

Prescription medication taken from Greene Township home

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police said prescription medication was stolen from a home Friday on Mickey Inn Road in Greene Township.

The theft happened at 640 Mickey Inn Road, where someone broke in to the home and stole the medication, according to a state police news release.

Franklin County Emergency Services report

The following incidents were reported Sunday by Franklin County (Pa.) Emergency Services:

• At 10:08 p.m., a traffic accident was reported on Interstate 81 in Cumberland County.

• At 11:56 p.m., a commercial fire alarm was reported in the 12700 block of Buchanan Trail East in Washington Township.
