Virginia Seamone Grove, 88, of Williamsport, Md., and formerly of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Homewood Retirement Center, Williamsport.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend to everyone.

Born Feb. 27, 1924, in Philippi, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John and Angele Carpezza Seamone.

She was a graduate of Philippi High School, Philippi. She graduated from beauty school in Philippi.

She was employed by Fairchild Aircraft, Hagerstown, until retiring in 1985.

She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Hagerstown.

She was a member of the AARP and the West Virginia Society of Maryland.

She enjoyed traveling, golfing and fishing.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Marshall Grove, married Jan. 21, 1946, of Williamsport; son, Donald L. Grove and his wife, Linda K., of Wasilla, Ala.; son, Daniel M. Grove and his wife, Sharon, of Annapolis, Md.; son, Dennis P. Grove and his wife, Patricia C., of Snow Hill, Md.; son, Duane A. Grove and his wife, Linda L., of Hagerstown; son, Daryl J. Grove of Ellicott City, Md.; sister, Ann Flegal of North Carolina; sister, Pauline Poffenberger of Hagerstown; sister, Marie Compnnell of Iowa; brother, Woodrow Seamone of Bethany Beach, Del.; brother, Richard Seamone of Lincoln Park, Mich.; brother, John Seamone Jr. of Salem, W.Va.; grandchildren, Shiloh, Jolene, Josh, Brooke, Nicholas, Dustin and Davis; great-grandchildren, Landon, Deacon, Emma and Grayson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Douglas Seamone.

Services and burial will be private at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, with the Rev. George A. Limmer officiating.
