Marine Corps League's Antietam Detachment installs new officers

On April 3, Ed Ross, commandant of the Maryland Department of the Marine Corps League, swore in newly elected officers of the Antietam Detachment of Washington County.

The members elected the new officers March 6.

The positions filled were: commandant, Jim Mills; senior vice commandant, Jim Warner; junior vice commandant, Mike Nakopoulos; judge advocate, Bob Glausier; adjutant, Clark Mayer; paymaster, Carl Lenhart; public relations officer, Jeff Mangum; and historian, Clark Mayer.

The Marine Corps League promotes veterans affairs and provides support to the community. The Antietam Detachment also runs the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program of Washington County.

Membership is open to all active and former Marines and Navy Corpsmen who have served with Marine units. Associate membership in the Marine Corps League is open to anyone who supports the principles and policies of the Marine Corps League. The Antietam Detachment has a diverse membership of members and associate members. The Antietam Detachment meets the first Tuesday of the month.
