Susan Rebecca (Mills) (Bussard) Hornbaker, 76, of Mercersburg, Pa., died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born May 11, 1935, in Kemps Mill, Williamsport, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harold James and Helen Marie Carbaugh Mills.

She was retired from Western Maryland Hospital Center. She worked in adult day care and also worked on the floor as a nursing assistant.

She was a member of Lanes Run Church of God, Clear Spring, Md.

She is survived by her second husband, Clarence Ray Hornbaker; four daughters, Ruth R. Stitely and husband, Bucky, of Martinsburg, W.Va., the Rev. Betty D. Jones and husband, David, Susan J. Evans and husband, James, and Lisa A. Foltz and husband, Jeff, all of Hagerstown; one son, Joseph L. Bussard II and fiancée, Francoise Nelles, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; three stepsons, Ray Hornbaker, William (Bill) Hornbaker and James Hornbaker, all of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Emma M. Mills Reger and Patricia A. Mills Henson, both of Big Pool, Md., and Frances E. Mills Hart of Clear Spring; three brothers, Amos H. Mills and Henry A. Mills, both of Hagerstown, and Edgar T. Mills of Clear Spring; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, stepgreat-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. Joseph L. Bussard; five sisters, Gladys Mills, Sarah Mills, Verda Mills, Mary Anna Mills Rankin and Lizzie M. Mills Hutzler; one stepdaughter, Shirley Repp; and one stepson, Larry Hornbaker.

Funeral services will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, on Saturday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Jonathan Laye will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
