Marriage recommitment ceremony set for Saturday

When he asks you, “Would you marry me again?” don’t hesitate to say “yes” and come to the Marriage Recommitment Ceremony at noon during the Hitching Post RoundUp in the Barn at Springfield Farm on Saturday.

The Rev. Anne Weatherholt, pastor of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, will officiate.

No registration is necessary.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., brides-to-be can find wedding items for sale and meet wedding vendors, including florists, bakers, caterers and others.

At 1 p.m. there will be a meet-and-greet for brides to share ideas. Ongoing tours of the barn and grounds at Springfield Farm will be conducted.

Potomac Garden Club prepares for spring

Potomac Garden Club will meet Tuesday, April 17, at 12:30 p.m. in the reception hall at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

After the business meeting, members will participate in a spring bouquet workshop.

Jacobs Brothers to perform

The Jacobs Brothers will appear at Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, 17426 Virginia Ave., Thursday at 7 p.m. The group specializes in traditional and sacred music.

A free-will offering will be taken.

Lions Club plans 68th Charter Night

The Williamsport Lions Club will hold its 68th Charter Night celebration Thursday, April 26, at Williamsport American Legion.

Social hour starts at 5:15 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6:15.

Entertainment will be provided by Walker Performing Arts. First Vice District Gov. Paul Cannada will be in attendance.
