Join Hands Day seeks additional hands

April 11, 2012

BOONSBORO — A group of volunteers in Hagerstown is striving to make a difference in the community and is asking for additional help. The volunteer project will take place on Join Hands Day, Saturday, May 5, a national day of service sponsored by Modern Woodmen of America and other fraternal benefit societies.

Volunteers in Boonsboro will play bingo with residents. The project will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village, 8507 Mapleville Road in Boonsboro.

Join Hands Day is the only national day of service designed to bring youth and adults together to plan and implement volunteer service projects in their communities.

For more information or to volunteer, call Lynn Bibbee at 301-733-7888, or go to modern-woodmen.org.
