Troop 103 holds Court of Honor

On April 2, Troop 103 held a Court of Honor at Paramount Brethren in Christ Church to honor Boy Scouts who have earned merit badges and rank advancements. 

Troop 103 is chartered by the Rotary Club of Long Meadows.

Earning the Geology merit badge were Thomas Forrest, Cameron Whaley, Michael Freeman, Adam Harbert, Justin Smith, Geoffrey Souza and Parker Tribble.

Earning the Emergency Preparedness merit badge was Benjamin Forrest.

Earning his Scout rank was Micah Okeefe.

Earning their Tenderfoot rank were Justin Smith and Cole Thumann.

 Earning their Second Class rank were Justin Smith, Cameron Whaley, Thomas Forrest, Timothy Mason and Parker Tribble.

Earning his First Class rank was Zachary Klein.

Earning his Star rank was Benjamin Forrest.

Losses for the week totaled 29 pounds for TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 0077.

JoAnn M., Valerie Eccard and Charles House were the best TOPS losers.

Linda Siebert and Kathy Renner were the best KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) losers. 

The no-no snack for the week is pie.

Mary Jo Cunningham won the quarterly KOPS no-no prize and Dorothy Martin won for TOPS. 

Mary Jo was elected chapter queen and Linda Siebert was chosen runner-up.

The program featured the installation of officers and the presentation of the annual awards. The best loser for the year was Pat Hicks, followed by Valerie Eccard and Charles House. 

In addition, other division top losers included Edna Jones, Mary Jo Cunningham, Kathy Freeze and Linda Siebert.

The green balloon team won the March hot air balloon contest. 

The group meets Mondays at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave. in Hagerstown.
