Morning MoJo report - April 6

Here is the Morning MoJo Report for Friday, April 6:

  • As of 7 a.m., traffic on I-495 westbound is a little sluggish, but it is running fine on all the other interstates throughout the area.
  • On the MARC Train at Brunswick station, all morning trains will be boarding from the opposite track, Maryland Transit Administration's (MTA) website, http://mta.maryland.gov/.. This could cause minor delays.
  • The Light Rail Service, Commuter Buses, local bus services, the Metro Subway system, and the Mobility service are all running on time and operating on their regular schedules, according to the MTA website.
  • The weather today is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 58 degrees and wind between 5 and 8 miles per hour (mph) increasing to between 13 and 16 mph, according to the National Weather Service's website, http://forecast.weather.gov. Tonight it is expected to be clear with a low around 31 degrees and wind between 6 and 10 mph.
  • The Longmeadow Road and Marsh Pike intersection is still undergoing an improvement project. Workers are assisting traffic when needed at the intersection.
  • Only one lane of Md. 550 in Thurmont, Md., is open between Eylers Valley Flint Road and Kelbaugh Road due to a mudslide that occurred last April. However, it could reopen by June.
