April 02, 2012

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — The Master Artist Series: Yoga and Mindful Eating for Vibrant Health classes will be held from 5 p.m. Friday, May 4, to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at CraftWorks at Cool Spring, 1469 Lloyd Road, Charles Town, W.Va.

Raise your energy level and your openness to joy using time-tested tools from the yoga tradition combined with mindful eating. Learn skills intended to enable participants to find comfort, laughter, nourishment and self-knowledge to heal and rejuvenate.

Leader JiJi Russell will teach seven practical yoga poses for everyday comfort; three breathing techniques to clam the body and mind; the “six tastes” according to Ayurvedic nutrition that participants can incorporate immediately into their diet to change the way they eat and how they think about food. The weekend includes an intro to restorative yoga and free time.

Russell is a Kripalu-certified yoga instructor and is a graduate of the professional training program with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

The cost, which includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, is $250; for members of CraftWorks the cost is $225.
