The Elizabethtown East Chapter of Neighborhoods First will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, at Rocky’s Pizza, 40 N. Potomac St., downtown Hagerstown.

Lions Club events

Tuesday — Lions will attend the midday Holy Week Service at John Wesley Methodist Church, 129 N. Potomac St., in downtown Hagerstown. A lunch of homemade soup and sandwiches is available after worship. There is no regular meeting.

The Hagerstown Lions Club’s 89th anniversary celebration is Saturday, May 5, at Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 on Northern Avenue in Hagerstown. The social starts at 6 p.m.; dinner is served at 7 p.m. A buffet-style dinner includes choice of lasagna or sliced top round, whipped potatoes, green beans, fruit, salad, rolls and dessert. After dinner and brief ceremonies, entertainment will be provided by soloist Alicia Zilar. The cost is $18 per person. Reservation deadline is Friday, April 27.

Easter Saturday celebration

Children of all ages are invited to the Easter Saturday celebration from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 141 S. Potomac St., in downtown Hagerstown. The morning will include an Easter story for children plus games, crafts, and a light lunch. There will be an Easter egg hunt for children in fifth grade and younger. Kiwanis Club Travelogue

The Kiwanis Club of Hagerstown concludes its 37th season of the Travelogue series with “Discovering the Dutch.” The program is at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at South Hagerstown High School auditorium.

Presenter Sandy Mortimer guides the tour past gabled homes, on to several lowland Provinces and the city of Amsterdam. Single-admission tickets are sold at the door on show night. The cost for adults is $10 and $5 for students. For information or tickets, call 301-739-1981.

Baskets, pottery and cash bingo

Baskets, pottery and cash bingo is Sunday, April 29, at the Elks Lodge, 11063 Robinwood Drive, east of Hagerstown. The cost is $25;  $30 at the door, and lunch is included. No one younger than 18 will be admitted. Doors open at 11 a.m.; lunch is at noon; bingo is at 1 p.m. Baked goods and sodas will be available.
