  • No one was seriously injured when this car drove off the roadway and struck a sign at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 15600 block of National Pike (U.S. 40), a Washington County Emergency Services dispatcher said. Rescue workers reported that the driver suffered a bloody nose. The accident site is near the Hagerstown Speedway.

Pa. man charged with brandishing firearm

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A Greene Township, Pa., man was charged with brandishing a loaded firearm at a man and a woman earlier this week, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Joshua Kennedy, 26, of Greene Township, was charged with simple assault and recklessly endangering, according to a state police news release.

Troopers said Kennedy “brandished a loaded firearm to the victims” at about 1 p.m. Monday in the 6800 block of Lincoln Way East.

Kennedy was arrested without incident, police said.
