Tech High honors Carter, Savage

Thomas Carter and Ann Savage have been named students of the month at Washington County Technical High School.

Thomas is a junior in the computer game development and animation class at Tech High. Along with computer game development and animation, Thomas is enrolled in honors chemistry, advanced-placement literature, honors world history and honors trigonometry. 

Thomas holds a 4.14 grade-point average at Tech High.

He said he plans to pursue further education in creative writing or applied psychology.

Thomas’ home school is South Hagerstown High School. 

Outside of school, Thomas enjoys reading, drawing, writing and playing the bass guitar.

Ann is a senior in pre-engineering at Tech High.

She is enrolled in pre-engineering (Project Lead the Way), digital electronics, advanced-placement English language and composition, and attends Hagerstown Community College in the Essence program, while holding a 4.0 grade-point average.

Ann has been accepted at Penn State University, West Virginia University, University of Maryland and Drexel University.

She plans to attend one of the those colleges ,majoring in biomedical engineering.

Ann’s home school is Clear Spring High School, where she is treasurer of the FBLA, a member of the National Honor Society, Drama Club, color guard and indoor track team. 

Ann is a member of National Technical Honor Society and holds a 3.93 grade-point average.

Outside of school, Ann teaches swim lessons, is on the swimming team at the Hagerstown YMCA and plays the piano.
