Three arrested after fight in Shepherdstown

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Three people were arrested early Friday following a fight at a Shepherdstown restaurant and bar, the Shepherdstown Police Department said in a news release.

One person was stabbed at the same location before the fight broke out, police said.
At about 1 a.m., Shepherdstown police, Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies, Shepherd University police and West Virginia State Police responded to a fight at Tony’s Pizza and Stonewall’s Pub at 126 E. German St., according to the release.

A deputy sheriff and a university police officer sustained minor injuries, the release said.

The three people arrested after the fight were taken to Eastern Regional Jail in Martinsburg, W.Va., police said.

Police then received a report of a stab victim being treated at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va. The victim, Terrell Leonard, 19, of Natrona, Pa., told police he was stabbed in the upper left arm at Tony’s prior to the fight breaking out, the release said. The wound was not life-threatening, police said.
