A woman was taken to Meritus Medical Center following a motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon on Greencastle Pike west of Hagerstown, according to a Washington County Emergency Services dispatcher said.
The dispatcher said another rider on the motorcycle appeared to have refused medical treatment.
Maryland State Police said the accident, which was reported at 1:36 p.m., involved minor injuries.
The accident occurred in the 12700 block of Greencastle Pike north of U.S. 40.
Greencastle Pike, which is also Md. 63, was reopened to traffic at about 2 p.m.
A large, red motorcycle had been pushed off into a field near the accident site.
