Work by the winners of a juried art show among Washington County public and private high school students will be displayed at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown’s media center through March 30.
First-place artwork from the show will be on display in April at the Washington County Arts Council, at 14 W. Washington St. in downtown Hagerstown.
The university center and Washington County Public Schools partnered on the show, whose theme this year is “Young Inspiration.”
The artwork was judged by Amy Hunt and Jennifer Smith from the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts; Mary Anne Burke from the arts council; and local artist and art instructor, Bob Wantz.
The university center, at 32 W. Washington St. in downtown Hagerstown, is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays; and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
