Western Heights Middle School PTSA news

The Western Heights Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association is kicking off its Spring into Books Fair, which will be March 23 to 29.

Students will bring home order forms as well as be able to shop in the book fair during school hours. 

The PTSA will also begin its Hadley Farms cinnamon roll fundraiser that will run through April 17.  The rolls cost $4 each. Anyone interested in ordering can call Lori at 301-745-6433 or send an email to whms@noaimhere.com.

Orders will be in on May 1, just in time for Mother’s Day.

The collection of Box Tops for Education is an ongoing event. If you have box tops to donate and would like to have them picked up, call Lori at 301-745-6433 or send an email to whms@noaimhere.com.



Winter Street night at Roy Rogers

The Winter Street School PTA will hold a fundraiser at Roy Rogers Restaurant on Burhans Boulevard Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Whether you are dining in or going through the drive-through when ordering, tell the server you are from Winter Street School and a percentage of the bill will go to help the school’s PTA.



SHHS Class of 1972 plans fundraiser dance

The South Hagerstown High School Class of 1972 is planning a fundraiser for one of its class members who is battling liver cancer.

Pat Simons is a Funkstown native and lifelong resident of Washington County.

The class will hold its fundraiser Friday, April 13, starting at 5:30 p.m. at Next Dimensions in Funkstown.

It will include dinner, dancing, a silent auction, raffle, 50/50 drawing and music. 

The master of ceremonies will be a Phantom Shadows D.J. with Chubby the Band performing music from the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s.

Tickets cost $40 per couple or $25 for singles and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be available at the door.
