A man robbed a person at gunpoint Wednesday night in the 100 block of East Avenue, Hagerstown police said.
Officers were called to East Avenue at 11:02 p.m. for a report of an armed man who robbed an 18-year-old bicycle rider, according to a police department news release.
Neither the name nor gender of the victim was released.
Police said the victim gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash and fled, leaving the bicycle behind.
The robber was last seen riding the bicycle away from the area.
Officers said the robber was described as a black male in his 20s. He was 5-feet, 10-inches to 6-feet tall and was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
