BLACKSBURG, Va. — Danielle Lynn Moore of Hagerstown was named to the dean’s list with distinction in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech University for the fall semester.
Moore graduated with an International Baccalaureate Diploma from North Hagerstown High School in 2011. 
Moore is the daughter of Darryl and Luann Moore of Hagerstown.

SALISBURY, Md. — Sarah Cook of Boonsboro, recently was accepted into Phi Eta Sigma, the national freshman honor society at Salisbury University.
Cook is a freshman majoring in elementary education. She is a member of the Education Club and the intramural soccer team. She also is a dean’s list student.
Cook is a 2011 graduate of Williamsport High School. She is the daughter of Boyd and Sharon Cook.

TOWSON, Md. — Amy Michelle Moore of Keedysville was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Towson University.

FROSTBURG, Md. — The following additional students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Frostburg State University:

ATLANTA — The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Emory College: 
— Debora Adjibaba of Chambersburg, Pa., the daughter of Amavi Wolou
— Gillian Kramer of Hagerstown, the daughter of Dr. Richard Kramer and Dr. Lauren Kramer
— Stephanie Spangler of Williamsport, the daughter of Robert Spangler and Susan Day of Shepherdstown, W.Va.

WINCHESTER, Va. — Brandon Bryan of Mercersburg, Pa., a mass communications major in the School of Arts and Sciences at Shenandoah University, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.
Bryan, a graduate of James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, is the son of Pamela Bryan of Chambersburg, Pa., and the grandson of Ronald and Helen Bryan of Mercersburg, with whom he lived.
Bryan will graduate from the university in May.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Philip Pasco, a senior at Musselman High School in Bunker Hill, W.Va., has been offered a Welch Colleague scholarship at the University of Charleston.
Welch Colleagues are students who explore individual leadership styles, working toward a goal of designing and implementing community change projects. Fifteen students are chosen for the program each year, gaining the opportunity to work with peers who have similar concerns as well as leaders in nonprofit organizations.

FINDLAY, Ohio — The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Findlay:
— Macey Camplair of Frederick, Md., pre-veterinary medicine/animal science
— Taylor Donley of Hagerstown, who has a 4.0 in  pre-veterinary medicine.

HAMILTON, N.Y. — The following area students received the dean’s award for academic excellence for the fall term at Colgate University:
— Holly Marie Havenstein of Mount Airy, Md., a member of the Class of 2012, is studying economics.
Havenstein is a graduate of Linganore High School. She is the daughter of Gary H. Havenstein and Cheryl M. Havenstein.
— Emily Catherine Weiss of Greencastle, Pa., a member of the Class of 2012, is studying molecular biology.
Weiss is a graduate of Mercersburg Academy. She is the daughter of Dr. Roger T. Weiss and Eileen D. Cochran. 

UPLAND, Ind. — The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Taylor University:
— Hannah Brubaker of Chambersburg, Pa.
— Katie Herman of Greencastle, Pa.
— Leah Woodrum of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.

TEANECK, N.J. — Stephanie Austin of Chambersburg, Pa., a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.

ANNVILLE, Pa. — Lebanon Valley College honored 186 of its first-semester freshman and transfer students at the Celebration of Student Success reception at the Neidig-Garber Science Center atrium.
The following area students were recognized:
— Matthew Aldridge of New Market, Md., a freshman economics major
— Jocelyn Davis of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., a freshman English major
— Emily Johansen of Chambersburg, Pa., a freshman psychology major
— Lauren O’Boyle of Frederick, Md., a freshman health science major

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. — The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Geneva College:
— Sharon Buell of Walkersville, Md., is a graduating senior majoring in writing.
— David Gerlach of Shippensburg, Pa., is a senior majoring in engineering.
— Christopher Liberto of Thurmont, Md., is a graduating senior majoring in student ministry.
— Tabitha Little of Fayetteville, Pa., is a freshman majoring in Pk-4 Ed/pk-8 Special Ed.
— Alayna Merkle of Fayetteville is a sophomore majoring in communication disorders.

CANTON, N.Y. — The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at St. Lawrence University:
— John B. Hicks of Frederick, Md., a member of the Class of 2015, is a graduate of Frederick High School.
— Gregory J. Stoner of Shippensburg, Pa., a member of the Class of 2012, is a graduate of Shippensburg Area High School.

MADISON, N.J. — The following area students were named to the honor’s list for the fall semester at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham:
— Amanda Alford of Gerrardstown, W.Va.
— Kyler Leiter of Mount Airy, Md.

ITHACA, N.Y. — Spencer Jackson of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Cornell University.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Emily C. Humberson of Kearneysville, W.Va., was named to the president’s list for the fall semester at the University of Mary Washington.

ITHACA, N.Y. — Brittany Moore of Mount Airy, Md., was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Ithaca College.
Moore is a sophomore majoring in clinical health studies. She is the daughter of Joan Moore.

ATLANTA — Patricia Pacheco of Point of Rocks, Md., received a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — Natalie Dold of Frederick, Md., a sophomore elementary education major, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Rider University.

MACON, Ga. — Stephanie E. Giangiuli of New Market, Md., a sophomore, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Mercer University.

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — Benjamin Cofer of Thurmont, Md., was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Carson-Newman College.

BOSTON — Maria Elizabeth Romanelli of Walkersville, Md., was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Fisher College.
