CEARFOSS — Fire destroyed a storage shed along Cindy Lane off Greencastle Pike north of Cearfoss Wednesday afternoon, according to a spokesman with the Maugansville Goodwill Volunteer Fire Co.

When firefighters arrived, most of the shed was on fire and the burning structure was about 5 feet from another shed, Sgt. Austin McCoy said.

The second shed sustained minor damage, McCoy said.

McCoy estimated the size of the shed that burned to be about 15-feet-by-20-feet.

Firefighters had the 2:35 p.m. fire under control about 15 minutes after it was dispatched, McCoy said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, McCoy said. People living in a house on the property reported the blaze, he said.
