Downsville Ruritan plans pancake breakfast
Downsville Ruritan Club will host its last pancake breakfast of the season Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. at Downsville School.
The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, two sausage patties (additional sausage available for 50 cents), scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, puddin’, milk, juice and coffee.
Tickets cost $5.50 per person. Those 5 and younger eat free. All proceeds fund local community projects.
Spaghetti dinner planned Saturday at Calvary Temple
Calvary Temple, 147 S. Conococheague St., will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m.
The menu includes spaghetti, salad, dessert and drink. The sauce and meatballs are homemade.
Tickets cost $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for those ages 3 to 12. Take-out is also available. Proceeds benefit the church’s Royal Rangers and Mpact Girls Program.
Community band to hold bonanza
Williamsport Community Band will hold a money bonanza Saturday, March 31, at the Order of Red Men Tribe 84 in Williamsport, 16129 Lappans Road.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Participants must be over 21 to attend. No outside alcohol will be permitted.
Tickets cost $35 per couple, and include meal, keg beer and snacks. The first and every 10th ticket drawn wins $35. The cash prize is $1,000.

Potomac Garden Club to meet Tuesday
Members of the Potomac Garden Club will meet Tuesday, March 20, at 12:30 p.m. in the Reception Hall of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Sandy Scott, retired Washington County Extension educator, will talk about the proper care of gardening tools and give gardening advice.
