Mercyhurst 10-7, HCC 8-5

Eric Schanzenbacher had two hits and two RBIs in the first game for Hagerstown, which lost its home opener by dropping a twinbill to Mercyhurst (6-1).

Jacob Keeney and Josh Knupp had two hits and an RBI each and Terrell Thompson had two hits.

In the nightcap, Danny Morris had two RBIs for the Hawks (10-3).

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — Macey Hollenshead had 16 points and six assists for Southern Fulton in a first round PIAA Class A state tournament loss to Elk County Catholic (24-4).

Taelor Morton had 14 points, including two 3-pointers, three assists and two steals and Ashley Roman had five rebounds for the Indians, who finished their season 25-2.
