SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — A man who said he had a gun made off with about $4,000 in cash Friday afternoon from the Jefferson Security Bank in Shepherdstown, W.Va., police said.
The man entered the bank from the South Princess Street entrance at about 1 p.m. and told the teller that he had a gun, a Shepherdstown Police Department news release said.
The man didn’t brandish a weapon and fled north toward South Princess Street, police said.
He was described as 50 to 55 years old with a dark goatee, and wearing a tan sport coat, white button shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and wire-rimmed glasses.
