Asbury United Methodist Church, Wednesday midweek Lenten service will be held at 7 p.m., preceded by a covered dish meal at 6 p.m. Pastor Jerry Lowans will speak, and the Asbury United Methodist Church Choir will sing.

Haven Lutheran Church, Wednesdays in Lent, this week a guest speaker will discuss Parkinson’s disease at 5:15 p.m., followed by soup and sandwiches at 6 p.m. and a Lenten service with the Holden Evening Prayer as the liturgy at 7 p.m. Contact the church at 301-733-5056, if you plan to attend.

Mount Briar First Church of God, Keedysville, revival 7 p.m. nightly through Wednesday, March 14. Sunday, Men in Black; Monday, the Rev. Ernest Witmer; Tuesday, the Rev. Mark Halliday; Wednesday, the Rev. Joseph Burdette. Music nightly.

St. Paul’s Free Lutheran Church, Leitersburg, Smithsburg Area Church Association Lenten service will be Tuesday at noon, followed by lunch. Pastor Terry Culler will preach and lead the worship service.

Salem Lutheran Church, Boonsboro, Wednesday Lenten service will be at 7 p.m. on Man with Leprosy.

Tom’s Creek United Methodist Church, Lenten study, 24 Hours That Changed the World will continue from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Call 410-756-9205.

The Way Station, Waynesboro, Pa., Rabbi Neal Surasky from Chose People Ministry in Virginia will give a Jewish perspective on the Christian faith at 7 p.m. today. Pastor Dale Martin will talk about who God is at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 17.

Zion Reformed United Church of Christ, Wednesday night Lenten series with a pot-luck dinner at 6 p.m., followed by the service at 6:45 p.m. The service will examine the 40-day experiences in the Bible. This week’s topic will be Moses: Second Chances.
