Evelyn M. (Barr) Viands Repp, 90, of Ravenwood Village, Hagerstown, passed away Feb. 28, 2012, at her daughter’s home in Roxton, Texas.

Born Aug. 11, 1921, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. Barr Sr. and Eve D. Martin Barr.

She was employed with Fairchild Hiller during World War II as an expediter, owned the Blue & White Café on North Mulberry Street during the 1950s and volunteered with the Washington County Hospital for many of her late years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church most of her life and a member of Emmanuel Chapel, Smithsburg, Md., during her later years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Denzil E. Viands and Roger S. Repp; daughter, Evelyn M.Viands; sisters, Mary F. Baily, Eva L. Smith, Thelma D. Haines and Delores J. Barr; and brothers, Paul H. Barr Jr. and George R. Barr.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley A. Crowe and husband, Harold, of Roxton, and Barbara J. Shaw of Gold Hill, N.C.; three sisters, Virginia L. Small, M. Colleen Shank and Rose M. Sweeney and husband, Ron; brother, William A. Barr and wife, Shirley, all of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Larry Shelly and Kimberly Kovacs of Martinsburg, W.Va., Cheryl Watts and husband, Roy, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Tracy A. Salyor of Arlington, Va., and Justin L. Gordon of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; 11 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Stan Steele of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to “The Deborah K. Barron Music of the Heart Fund” with the “Community Foundation of Washington County.”
