Morning MoJo report - March 8

Here is the Morning MoJo Report for Thursday, March 8:

* New traffic signal equipment is scheduled to be installed at the intersection of Longmeadow Road and Marsh Pike today and Friday, March 9, according to a press release from Washington County's website, www.washco-md.net.

* As of 7 a.m., traffic was a little sluggish on I-495 westbound and on I-270 southbound, but was running smoothly on I-270 northbound, I-495 eastbound, I-70 and I-81 throughout Maryland.

* The MARC Train, Commuter Buses, local bus services, the Metro Subway system, and the Mobility service are all running on time and operating on their regular schedules, according to the Maryland Transit Administration's website, http://mta.maryland.gov.

*The high today is expected to be 70 degrees with a 60 percent chance of precipitation and possible winds between 11 and 14 miles per hour and increasing to between 20 and 23 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight's expected low is around 38 degrees with a 90 percent chance of precipitation and possible winds between 13 and 17 mph and gusts as high as 28 mph.

* Work to expand the intersection of Massey Boulevard and Halfway Boulevard near Hagerstown is mostly complete, but minor work still needs to be done in the area.

* Only one lane of Md. 550 in Thurmont, Md., is open between Eylers Valley Flint Road and Kelbaugh Road due to a mudslide that occurred last April. However, it could reopen by June.
