USMH student group collects items for homelessness event

The University System of Maryland at Hagerstown Student Council organized a building-wide collection drive for the upcoming Homelessness Resource Day.

Homelessness Resource Day, sponsored by Washington County Homeless Coalition, will be Saturday, March 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Aspiring to Serve building, 140 W. Franklin St. in Hagerstown.
Hannah Bradley, Towson nursing student at USMH and student council vice president, organized the event.

Students, faculty and staff donated books, toiletries, small food items and clothing.

All donations were recently delivered to the Aspiring to Serve building.
