WARK

WARK, 1490 AM, in partnership with Washington County Public Schools, provided holiday concert music in December.

For the second year in a row, the concerts were sponsored by local businesses, and a portion of their sponsorship was donated to the school system’s minigrant program. The $200 contribution was presented to Rob Hovermale, supervisor of visual and performing arts for Washington County Public Schools.

The concerts, performed by students in different grade levels, were recorded and rebroadcast on WARK during the holiday season.

This year’s sponsors included Williamsport Retirement Village; Kaplan University, Hagerstown; Minnich Funeral Home; and Penn State Mont Alto.
