Lillie R. Moore, 97, of Chambersburg, Pa., formerly of Keyser, W.Va., died on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, in Chambersburg.

Born on May 24, 1914, in Shepherdstown, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Carol Rockenbaugh and Ruth (Hoffman) Rockenbaugh Stickel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, The Rev. Donald W. Moore, on April 11, 1991, and her son, Donald W. Moore II, on May 4, 2010.

Mrs. Moore was a 1936 graduate of Shepherd University and a substitute teacher. She was a 50-year plus member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Keyser and a member of Pack Horse Ford Chapter NSDAR, Shepherdstown.

Surviving are her daughter, Anne M. Cowley and husband George L. of Chambersburg, Pa.; her grandchildren, David A. Cowley and Leslie A. Lehman and husband John; her great-grandchildren, Addisyn Lehman and Jarren Lehman; a sister, Helen Beck of Martinsburg, W.Va., two half-sisters, Helen Shank and husband Harold of Middletown, Md., and Alice Ann Cottrell of Martinsburg, W.Va.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, with the Rev. John Helgeson officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
