Morning MoJo report - Feb. 24

Here is the morning Mojo Report for Friday, Feb. 24:

* At 7 a.m. traffic was a little sluggish on I-495 in both directions and on I-270 southbound, but was running smoothly on I-270 northbound, I-70, and I-81 throughout Maryland.

* The MARC Train, Commuter Buses, local bus services, the Metro Subway system, and the Mobility service are all running on time and operating on their regular schedules, according to the Maryland Transit Administration's website, http://mta.maryland.gov.

*The high today is expected to be 64 degrees with possible winds between 19 and 22 miles per hour. There is a 40 percent chance of precipitation with a chance of showers before 1 p.m. and a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. After that it is gradually expected to become sunny, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight's expected low is around 34 degrees with possible winds between 21 and 31 mph and gusts as high as 55 mph.

* Mill Street between East Baltimore Street and South Cannon Avenue is scheduled to remain closed between 7 a.m. an 6 p.m. everyday through Saturday, Feb. 25 except for Sunday, Feb. 19, according to the City of Hagerstown's website, www.hagerstownmd.org. It is being closed for demolition work on the former Washington County Hospital Complex.

* Work to expand the intersection of Massey Boulevard and Halfway Boulevard near Hagerstown is mostly complete, but minor work still needs to be done in the area.

* Only one lane of Md. 550 in Thurmont, Md., is open between Eylers Valley Flint Road and Kelbaugh Road due to a mudslide that occurred last April. However, it could reopen by June.
