Washington County Spelling Bee

Sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students from Washington County private and public schools will compete. Saturday, 1 p.m. Western Heights Middle School, 1300 Marshall St., Hagerstown.


More than 100 students from nine schools in Washington and Allegany counties are expected to participate. Sponsored by the Maryland Society of Professional Engineers. Variety show fundraiser

Hagerstown Community College’s Robinwood Players Theater Club will hold a variety show featuring 20 singing, dancing and instrumental acts. Saturday, 7 p.m. HCC’s Kepler Center, off Robinwood Drive, east of Hagerstown. $10; free for HCC students, staff and faculty.
