The Johnsons celebrate 75 years

Milton and Evelyn “Edith” Johnson celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary Feb. 7, 2012. They were married in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 7, 1937.
Mrs. Johnson, 93, is the oldest of 11 and has two brothers and six sisters living, most of whom live in Maryland.
Mr. Johnson, 95, is the oldest and last surviving of five. The Johnsons have three children, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
They both worked for the State Department in Washington, D.C. before retiring. After leaving the D.C. area in 1964, they relocated to southern Maryland, where they lived until moving to the Hagerstown area in September 2000.
They live with their daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jim Blaylock in Boonsboro. Their son Paul lives in Silver Spring, Md., and their son Michael and daughter-in-law, Janet, live in Chantilly, Va.
Their children hosted a family luncheon in honor of the anniversary at Dutch’s Daughter Restaurant in Frederick, Md.
