Harold Lehman Eby, 86, a resident of the Mennonite Fellowship Home, formerly of Beans Cove, Pa., passed from this life on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown, Md.
Born Nov. 28, 1925, in Guilford Township, Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Ira Lehman Eby and Lydia Burkholder (Lehman) Eby.
Harold was a member of the Flintstone Mennonite Church. He was a retired farmer, and more recently employed as an agricultural products salesman.
Harold is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Elizabeth Eby. He is also survived by two sons, Donald R. Eby and wife, Linda, of Beans Cove, Lauren E. Eby and wife, Esther, of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala; three daughters, Ellen M. Martin and husband, Clifford, of Hagerstown, Esther L. Ruble and husband, Steven, of Woodville, Texas, and Elaine K. Miller and husband, James, of Hagerstown; 35 grandchildren and 86 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne A. Eby, formerly of Flintstone, Glen I. Eby and wife, Naomi, of Greencastle, Pa., and J. Elden Eby and wife, Marie, of Chambersburg, Pa.; and his sisters, Louise F. Martin, of Hagerstown, and Dorothy A. (Martin) Schrock and husband, Clifford, of Boyd, Wis.
