Area Girl Scouts to celebrate organization's 100th birthday

The Girl Scouts organization turns 100 years old on March 12.

Washington County Girl Scouts are inviting all Girl Scouts, former Girl Scouts and parents to join them for a 100th birthday celebration Monday, March 12, at 6:15 p.m. at the JCPenney Court at Valley Mall.

The ceremony will start at 6:30 p.m.

Plans are to create a large friendship circle, light a birthday candle and sing a song.

The public is invited.

Anyone who has a Girl Scout sash or pins is encouraged to bring them or wear them to the event.
