Otterbein United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., community Ash Wednesday service for in-town United Methodist churches of Martinsburg will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Communion will be served, and the Rev. John R. Yost will share the message Good Actions or Good Words — What Do You Think God Prefers?

People’s Gospel Tabernacle, Rodney Donaldson will speak at a youth service today at 7 p.m.

People’s Gospel Tabernacle, Phillip Johnson will lead a revival at 7 p.m. nightly Thursday through Saturday. Call 301-491-0638.

St. John’s Episcopal Church, the Rev. Ann Boyd will speak at the noon and 7 p.m. Ash Wednesday communion services on Forgiving Each Other. Both services will include imposition of ashes. The parish choir will sing at the evening service.

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Boonsboro, an Ash Wednesday service with communion and imposition of ashes will be at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The parish choir will sing at the evening service.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Clear Spring, will host the Conococheague Lutheran Parish Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The service will include imposition of ashes and communion.

St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clear Spring, Lenten services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesdays through March 27. The Rev. Elaine Swinehart will lead a series of studies on Meditations of Luther. A light meal will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the service at 6:45 p.m.
