Mrs. Ida Mae Merrill Cahoe, 90, of Greencastle, died Thursday evening, Feb. 9, 2012, at Chambersburg Hospital.
She was the wife of Mr. James L. Cahoe, her husband of 65 years.
Born Nov. 18, 1921, in Patton, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Scott and Rosella Finney Merrill.
Mrs. Cahoe enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo.
Surviving besides her husband are her children, Richard Scott “Dick” Lindsay and wife, Pinky, of Port Orange, Fla., Beverly Jane Bennett and Dolores Mae Monn and husband, Bill, all of Greencastle, and Cynthia “Cindy” Shatzer and husband, Van, of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren, Brian and Kevin Martin of Greencastle, Shane Martin of Carlisle, August Meyers of Chambersburg, Jamey Reynolds of Greencastle, Jeff Bruckhart of Mercersburg, Deidre Bigler of St. Thomas, and James and Tim Monn; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Leona Zumovitch of Altoona; sister-in-law, Lois Merrill of Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Calvin and Scott Merrill, and Laura Litzinger.
