February 12, 2012

Korean War veterans are invited to attend a luncheon next month to discuss the end of that conflict’s 60th anniversary.

Wayne Winebrenner, past commander of the Korean War Veterans Association Antietam Chapter 312, said U.S. Army Col. David Clark will meet with the veterans March 7 at American Legion Post 211 in Funkstown.

He said Clark will talk about how the nation plans to observe the anniversary on July 27, 2013.

The event, which costs $4, will begin at noon and includes lunch.

Veterans may RSVP by calling Les Bishop at 240-420-3755.
