The property consists of 2.42 acres of commercial land with an unconditional site plan approval for a 44,000- square-foot, two-story building and is right off the “Golden Mile.”

The alliance plans to build and operate a community center on the property that will provide support, encouragement and positive diversions for young people and families who live in the Hillcrest and Waverly areas. By August 2013, the organization hopes to open the proposed facility, which will house a public charter school and will provide additional space for before- and after-school activities.
