CNB Bank Inc.

CNB Bank Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of CNB Financial Services Inc., announces the addition of Mark D. Harrell of Hagerstown as its new senior executive officer.

Harrell comes to CNB having served as president of Centra Bank of Hagerstown since 2007.  During the 20 years before that, he served as vice president of Hagerstown Trust and as an assistant vice president of First National Bank of Maryland. 

Harrell is a 1989 graduate of Towson University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in finance and economics. He also is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Bankers’ Association School of Commercial Lending and a graduate of the Maryland Bankers’ Association Advanced School of Executive Management.

Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA

GREENCASTLE, Pa. —Scott Palmer and Todd Crawford, with Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA, recently were recognized as agents of the month for December in the Greencastle office.

The award is given based on the number of listings taken, sales made and closed sales, as well as attendance at Realtor functions and continuing-education classes completed.

Palmer was recognized for the five years and more in the business category.

Crawford was recognized for the five years and less in the business category.

Palmer has been selling real estate for 25 years and is an associate broker. He lives in Greencastle with his wife, Dawn, and daughter.

Crawford has more than 20 years of business and sales experience. He is licensed to sell all types of real estate in Pennsylvania.

Harpers Ferry Family Medicine

Harpers Ferry, W.Va. — Dr. Adrienne Zavala has joined the medical practice of Harpers Ferry Family Medicine as a family medicine physician. She also is a member of the medical staff at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

Zavala is a native of Charles Town, W.Va. She attended Shepherd University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology. She attended the West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed a family medicine residency at WVU’s Rural Family Medicine Residency Program in Harpers Ferry.

In addition to patient-care services, Zavala will help train resident physicians and medical students as an assistant professor for the WVU Department of Family Medicine, Eastern Division.

Harpers Ferry Family Medicine has been serving patients in Jefferson County since 1982, providing a full range of adult and pediatric health care services.

Volvo Group Hagerstown

Michele Cooper was the December employee of the month at Volvo Group Hagerstown.

Cooper, a material controller and member of the United Auto Workers Local 171 Office Bargaining Unit, was nominated by her fellow material controllers and department supervisors, who noted her enthusiasm for her job, supportive nature and efforts to improve inventory costs.

She has been employed with the company since 2007.

Smith Elliott Kearns & Co. LLC

Peter O. McDonald and Jessica L. Mihalov, certified public accountants, were recently promoted to the position of manager with Smith Elliott Kearns & Co. LLC.

McDonald was promoted from supervisor to manager. McDonald earned his Baccalaureate in Commerce degree with honors in accounting from the University of Ottawa, Canada. He joined Smith Elliott Kearns in 2000, and works with the firm’s small-business and individual clients, providing accounting, consulting and tax services. McDonald is based in the Hagerstown location, but as a member of the firm’s accounting services committee, he is a resource for staff members in all four of the company’s office locations.

Mihalov also was promoted from supervisor to manager. She graduated cum laude from Shippensburg (Pa.) University with a Master’s of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in business administration, majoring in accounting. She joined Smith Elliott Kearns in 2006, and serves audit clients in the Carlisle, Pa., office.

Orrstown Bank

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — Ken Brookens recently was welcomed as vice president and business development officer at Orrstown Bank.

Brookens joins the organization from F&M Trust, where he was employed as a commercial services relationship manager.

In addition to his experience as a commercial services relationship manager, Brookens has also held roles as loan review officer, consumer lender and credit analyst. He is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in business administration. 

Orrstown Bank also announced the following promotions:

  • Tim Holder was promoted to loan operations manager. He began his career with Orrstown Bank in 2006, and has held the roles of teller and customer service representative, and participated in the management trainee program. Holder most recently served as project manager for the company’s MCIF/CRM system, Insight. Holder is a graduate of Chambersburg (Pa.) Area Senior High School, attended Elizabethtown College and is attending PBA Advanced School of Banking.
  • Reed VanDerlyke was promoted to insight project manager. He began his career with Orrstown Bank as a management trainee in May 2011. He previously worked forAvaya Inc. as an information-technology service-management specialist. VanDerlyke recently received a master’s degree in business administration from Shippensburg University and also obtained a Bachelor of Science in computer information systems from Elmira College.
  • Crystal Stine was recently promoted to AVP/project management and marketing officer. Stine joined Orrstown Bank in July 2006, and became a member of the marketing department approximately one year later. Prior to her latest assignment, Stine served in the marketing department as corporate communications/public relations officer for the company. In addition to her marketing duties, Stine will be responsible for the successful implementation of special projects. She received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Villanova University and has also earned her ABA marketing diploma and certified financial marketing professional designation.
  • Chad Rydbom is vice president and business development officer for the Shippensburg region. Rydbom began his career with Orrstown Bank in January 2003 as a management trainee. In June 2003, he was promoted to credit analyst and in 2005, he was promoted to a senior credit analyst. In 2006, Rydbom assumed the role of loan review officer and in 2008 was promoted to his most recent role of AVP, loan review officer. Rydbom is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
  • Angela Tatum was promoted to assistant vice president and business development officer for the bank’s West Shore region. Tatum joined Orrstown Bank in 2002 as a pool teller. In 2006, she was promoted to commercial lending assistant and in 2007 was promoted to commercial services specialist. In January 2008, she was promoted to business banking officer for the West Shore Market, and in September 2010, she assumed the position of commercial loan officer for the West Shore market. Tatum obtained a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Shippensburg University.
  • Colby Windholz was promoted to assistant vice president and business development officer for the bank’s Carlisle (Pa.) region. He was hired in July 2007 as a management trainee. Upon completion of the management trainee program, he was promoted to business banking officer for the Carlisle market and in September 2010 was promoted to commercial loan officer. Windholz has a bachelor’s degree in finance and Spanish from Shippensburg University.
