Alvin James DeNoon, 67, of Williamsport, Md., and formerly of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at his home.

Born Aug. 10, 1944, in Glendale, W.Va., he was the son of the late Alvin Oscar and Clara Rose Ebbert DeNoon.

He owned and operated DeNoon’s Landscaping in Rockville, Md., and most recently, DeNoon’s Produce on Virginia Avenue in Williamsport.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Moundsville, W.Va.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Anna Laura Calai DeNoon, to whom he was married 43 years; daughter, Tara R. DeNoon of Gaithersburg, Md.; daughter, Tammy A. Childers and her husband, Bill, of Williamsport, Md.; son, Chad DeNoon of Cave Junction, Ore.; son, Jimmy DeNoon of Grey, Tenn.; sister, Patricia Johnson of Wheeling; brother, Ronald DeNoon of Jacobsburg, Ohio; brother, Donald DeNoon of Clermont, Fla.; grandchildren, Amber, Tony, Amanda, Zachery, Keegan, Devon, Ashley, Michael and Megan; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Pete Calai of Wheeling; stepsister-in-law, Betty Calai of Massillon, Ohio; and close family friends, Joshua and Joy Becker.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, with the Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service Monday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
