Fulton County Medical Center partners with health system

PinnacleHealth will provide medical and surgical services not available in McConnellsburg area

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — Fulton County (Pa.) Medical Center on Tuesday announced  a partnership with central Pennsylvania health system PinnacleHealth.

Effective immediately, PinnacleHealth will provide medical and surgical services that are not available in the McConnellsburg area, according to a news release.

Tertiary care is specialized consultative health care, usually for inpatients and patients on referral from a primary care doctor to physicians and facilities that offer advanced medical investigation and treatment.

Tertiary care services available under the partnership cross a variety of specialties, including cardiovascular care, orthopedics, oncology, robotic surgery, maternal fetal medicine for high-risk pregnancies, and other complex medical and surgical interventions.

“Fulton County Medical Center is proud to have chosen PinnacleHealth as our proven partner for providing tertiary services not available locally,” Jason Hawkins, president and chief executive officer of Fulton County Medical Center, said in the release.
